Der Erfolg von Malts of Scotland begann mit einer Reise nach Schottland. Begeistert von Land und Leuten handelte Thomas Ewers zunächst mit Whiskyfässern. 2009 gründete er das Label Malts of Scotland (kurz MoS). Die Qualität des unabhängigen Abfüllers aus Paderborn wurde 2013 und 2014 mit der Auszeichnung „Independent Bottler of the Year“ gekürt. Die Ehrung des Whisky Magazins ist besonders für einen nicht-schottischen unabhängigen Abfüller ein Ritterschlag. Seit 2016 ist Ewers Keeper of the Quiach und damit fester Bestandteil der schottischen Whiskyszene. Die Serien von Malts of Scotland: Bei den Angel’s Choice Abfüllungen haben die Engel den Whisky gewählt. Hier kommen Fässer mit hohen Angels‘ Share in kleine 0,35 Liter Flaschen. Die Amazing Casks bilden mit besonders raren Abfüllungen das Luxussegment ab. In der Images Reihe werden Mystery Malts abgefüllt, Whiskys mit geheimer Herkunft. Die “Images” auf den Etiketten enthalten jedoch Hinweise. Auch außerhalb Schottlands gibt es guten Whisky zum Beispiel in den Serien Malts of India, Malts of Ireland und Whiskeys of America. Die Standard Range bildet das Herzstück von Malts of Scotland. Hier findest Du erstklassige Einzelfassabfüllungen, gänzlich natürlich, ohne Farbstoff oder Kältefiltration versteht sich. Bei den Dark Side of Islay Abfüllungen werden längst verlorene Destillen der legendären Whiskyinsel wieder zum Leben erweckt. Bei der Innocent Dram – ID Serie werden die Whiskys in süffiger Trinkstärke abgefüllt. Viel Spaß beim Stöbern!
